What Is MI5?

Is There an MI7?

Historically, there were various numbered “MI” (Military Intelligence) sections during the First and Second World Wars, including MI7, which focused on propaganda and press relations. However, these sections were disbanded or reorganised many decades ago.

Today, only MI5 and MI6 remain as active, publicly acknowledged intelligence agencies using the “MI” designation.
